We’re taking the day off, but enjoy this leftover Digest silliness

By John Teti • May 27, 2013

As you’ve probably noticed by now, Gameological is off today in observance of Memorial Day. For real, we are observing the hell out of this day right now. We’ll be back tomorrow, starting with an interview you won’t want to miss. In the meantime, here are some odds and ends left over from last week’s edition of The Digest. First up, Effigy Power decided to take another crack at cartoon-ifying the Digest crew. Her luchador-themed tableau was featured in Friday’s comment roundup, but she wanted to make fun of us a little more. The result was this:

Digest Don't Eat comic

Also, presented without further comment, here is a GIF of Anthony John Agnello from Wednesday’s Guacamelee! segment:

We're all very impressed

Take that, Earth-holiday. I broke your strangle-hold on my entertainment.

Also, that picture is awesome and for some reason reminds me of Totoro.

Speaking of foods featured on The Digest, one of the convenience stores near my home has an entire rack of different varieties of Haribo candy, from Sour ‘Sgetti to candy Frogs. They even had both varieties of cola gummies: Fizzy Cola and Happy Cola. I was this close to buying a bag of Haribo sour gummies today before I came to my senses and realized that I valued my digestive tract over my curiosity.

I ate a bag of sour wine gums today.

I know, I know, how do I manage to keep my life this frigging aw-sum day after day? I dunno, but it’s pretty cool being me.

Funny, you mention digestive tracts. I just got back from dinner at Casa Bonita. If any of you are South Park fans, you’ll know that Casa Bonita is kind of a Denver landmark, perfect to take any out of town visitors. They are, however, infamous for having pretty terrible food. I’m going to go lie down in a dark room and think about my decisions in life.
